Miss Amelia, the Owner of My Little Conservatory and a Licensed Kindermusik Educator, is dedicated to sharing her passion for music with the youngest members of our society. Her love of the arts started at age of 4 when she began ballet lessons and later blossomed in elementary school when she began studying the flute. She went on to pursue her musical studies in college and received her Bachelors in Flute Performance from San Jose State University and her Masters in Flute Performance from the University of Iowa. She currently has a robust flute studio with many award-winning students. She was an active chamber musician for over 10 years and performed throughout the country including a debut performance at the infamous Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. Miss Amelia also holds a Level I Certification from the Early Childhood Music and Movement Association.
Miss Amelia began teaching Kindermusik 20 years ago and instantly fell in love with the creative energy of the young child. A few years later she became the Director of the Early Childhood Music Program at the Community School of Music and Art in Mountain View, a position she held for several years. She paused her early childhood music teaching in order to raise her two small children. After her children began school, she was eager to get back to her passion of teaching music to young children and thus My Little Conservatory was born. She is very excited to teach Kindermusik and Music for Little Mozarts and to share her love of music with families throughout Silicon Valley.
In Miss Amelia’s classes, parents and children are invited to explore a highly imaginative and fun musical learning environment. My Little Conservatory will give your children the tools they need for a lifelong love of music and learning.
